200million ZWD To Buy A Bread

The title speaks for itself. I was shocked when I read the news where Zimbabwe peoples need to pay millions of dolars of course ( ZWD ) to gain breads.

Hyperinflation in the country causes the Zimbabwe Dolar value getting lesser.

Here are some photos I got from a forum. You can see Zimbabwe peoples bring lots of Dolars wherever they go.

1) The guy has just collected his salary. Rich already? No, the money has not of value.

2) Tonnes of money = USD $50

3) This boy is going to get foods .

4) Believe it?

5) So troublesome right to bring this lots of money?

6) the mega pay is for a bottle of beer

we are still luckier compared to many other countries but we are not spared of inflation either… I used to buy a plate of nasi lemak and a glass of sirap for $0.50 when I was in school. How much are they now?

Guess those shopkeeper will have money-counting-phobia sooner or later. Imagine counting let say 500 pcs of money for 1 bottle of drink. How many pcs they need to count in a day! *pengsanz*
