Migrating From Blogger To Wordpress
Posted by ahmike.net | Filed under SHARING
Alright, today I will share some Wordpress thingy. I found out that there are many people request on this same common problem. Don’t worry, I was the one too.
It’s good to ask me about this question as this shows that you’re interested in using Wordpress now. Haha. What to do? Wordpress is better not bad. I remember how difficult I was when first using Wordpress especially had to do all sorts of adjustments like this.
Just follow me, these few ways going to solve your problems.
1) Log in to your Blogger/Blogspot account.
2) In your blogger/blogspot, Make sure your blogger publish full feeds
Like this : : Settings –> Site Feeds –> Blog Posts Feed –> FULL
3) Next log in to your Wordpress account, then go for this:
Manage –> Import –> Click Blogger to import posts from Blogger.
4) Now you are brought to Import page. Next, you need to authorize Wordpress in order to allow Wordpress to pull posts from Blogger. So, click Authorize .
5) Then, you will see Access Request page,Blogspot gives way for Wordpress to get the posts or comments in your Blogspot. So, faster click ” Grant Access”
6) Once Wordpress able to talk to Blogger.com, you’ll back to Wordpress Import page. If happens that you are not, go and make sure again whether you log in your Blogger account or not.
If you succeed to be back to Wordpress Import page, Congrats ! Wait no more, Faster click the Magic Button as shown in the pic.
7) After importing, you will have to Set Authors which is another Magic Button you should click. hehe.
Next, Save Changes.
9) After all, the blog posts will be published automatically and you will be brought back to Manage Post.
By following these 9 steps, there will adsolutely be no problem for you to migrate from Blogspot to Wordpress. Nevertheless, welcome to Wordpress family and tell me how perfect good Wordpress is, okay?

November 5th, 2008 at 6:47 pmHeard that the more posts you have in Blogspot, the slower to transfer this.
Also take into consideration that the cross-links between blog posts to one another had to be edited again one by one, which can be “lethal”.
If for me I’d rather start a whole new WP blog instead of migrating.

November 6th, 2008 at 12:14 pmThe plugins only linked with flicker or some other gallery..
I do not want a gallery.. I just want to insert some pictures along with the text you know…Anyway, it’s so basic.. and Wordpress is already giving me a lot of problems. Is there a limit to the photos or sth that I’m unaware of? Been having this problem for too long already.. I’ll prolly just set up a website or something if nothing works.. LOL!

Since you have your own domain, you should see if you have fantastico there in your contol panel. If you do, just install from there and you’re ready to go!
